CHALLENGE
"How can we make a logo that captures the essence of our startup's future vision while anchoring it with the assurance of a strong foundation?"
"Can we make something completely unique to us that feels like a boutique video game company and a high-end luxury car emblem? It also needs to be flexible for animation."

Project Shaping

Context

Terrestrial is a startup known for delivering high-end video content for businesses. As the team began to scale their services to include a wider range of creative offerings, they needed a new logo and an initial direction for their evolving visual identity.

We started the process by delving into the team's core values and aspirations for Terrestrial to lay the foundation for a logo that could reflect their vision for the brand.

Highlights

After rounds of exploration, I crafted a custom font that could be used to form a wordmark that seamlessly transforms into a lettermark. I designed the letters in a way where the first and last letters of the company name, T and L, could be put together for inverted symmetry.

This flexibility provided the team with the ability to animate the logo in or out in their videos.

The block style lettering was aimed at capturing the essence of video game aesthetics while the minimalist forms attempt to echo the sophistication of luxury car brands.
